Every few minutes a sensor beneath one of our hives reports its weight to the cloud. The graph below shows the last 14 days of weight readings for a production colony in our Frosty Meadow yard. Steady daily oscillations reflect foragers returning with nectar (gains during the day) and curing it overnight (water evaporation). Larger abrupt drops can mean swarming, a honey harvest, or sudden weather.
